Residents and visitors at Ram Quarter will soon be able to improve their swing, chipping and putting at new golf simulator Scratch which will launch to the public this summer.
Scratch will open its debut location in the heart of Wandsworth, offering the opportunity to experienced and amateur golfers to practise, take lessons, play iconic international courses, or enjoy a range of golfing games. High-tech simulation will provide detailed information and statistics for players to learn and improve, while in-person advice from coaches from the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) will be available by appointment.
Scratch will operate on a membership model, while allowing up to three friends to play free.
Scratch has signed a 10 year lease for 914 sq.ft of space across two units in Chivers Passage, at the northern edge of Ram Quarter. It plans to open its doors to players in early June, and memberships are already available - with a range of discounts currently available for early registrations too. This is Scratch’s first site, and the founders plan to expand to a network of locations which will all be available to members.
Scratch joins the wide range of commercial and retail operators within Ram Quarter’s thriving lanes and boulevards. Greenland’s award-winning redevelopment of the former Young’s brewery into high-quality homes and a leisure destination has gone from strength to strength in the five years since its opening. Visitors can enjoy everything from top-quality food and drink at Mai Thai Deli and Sushi Moka, to fun activities at Strike bowling and Boom Battle Bar, as well as a Heritage Centre telling the brewing history of the site and Wandsworth Town.
Taotao Song, CEO of Greenland UK, said: “We welcome Scratch as the latest addition to the vibrant leisure scene at Ram Quarter. The development continues to build on its fantastic reputation as a lifestyle destination with a wide range of high quality brands. Since day one we have been a home for unique independent businesses, and this debut opening for Scratch will help further expand our curated mix of occupiers.”
