Greenland Group rises a further 17 places to 125 on Fortune Global 500 list

News 03 August 2022

Fortune Media has announced today that Greenland Group has risen another 17 places on the Fortune Global 500 list.  The list orders global companies by revenue.  Greenland now ranks at 125.  The companies on the list generated revenues totalling more than one-third of global GDP.  This is an increase of 19% over last year, and marks the highest annual growth rate in the list's 33-year history.  Cumulative profits were up 88% over last year, now at a record US$3.1 trillion.

This year is Greenland Group’s eleventh year on the list, and sees the group rise to its highest position ever - now in the top quarter of the list.  The group’s revenues are listed by Fortune Media at US$84.454 bn, and assets at US$231.278 bn.

Founded in Shanghai in 1992, Greenland Group quickly established a reputation for quality and innovation, and now operates in international markets with a portfolio expanded to include sectors such as infrastructure, finance, and retail.  The global group first entered the Fortune Global 500 list after just twenty years, in 2012, when it became China's first Fortune Global 500 company with property as its main business.

In the UK, Greenland has continued to build its reputation as a developer of high-quality distinctive places.  Ram Quarter, the multi-award-winning mixed-use redevelopment of the former Young’s brewery in southwest London, has seen healthy demand from both homebuyers and commercial occupiers.  The vibrant site is alive with hundreds of residents in their new homes, with only a small number of apartments still available for sale.  The development’s retail and leisure space has been a big success too, with locals and visitors from further afield all enjoying the choice of bars and restaurants at Ram Quarter - with another set to open next month, and further signings to be announced soon too.
