London Stock, Wandsworth’s fine dining restaurant offering British dishes with an Asian twist, has launched a takeaway service called Stock’d Up.
The restaurant opened at Greenland’s Ram Quarter development earlier this year and has now adapted its service to meet the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic. London Stock’s takeaway offer features a selection of handpicked favourites from its usual menu, including main courses and desserts, as well as sandwiches designed to bring the best of British cuisine to Wandsworth locals. Sandwich options range from pork belly with British kimchi to fish fingers with crispy cod skin, all served on Japanese Hokkaido milk bread.
A no-contact home delivery service is available to Ram Quarter residents. Food and drink are also available for collection by people living within a 15-minute journey radius of London Stock’s restaurant. This creative solution launched on Monday 25 March and will be open for orders every day from 11:30am – 8:00pm for the immediate future. The response so far has been very encouraging, with orders coming in from both Ram Quarter and the wider area.
London Stock continues to offer an extensive wine list, alongside a wide selection of beers, kombucha, soft drinks, and sparkling waters. The takeaway menu even provides wine pairing suggestions, allowing customers to enjoy a little bit of luxury indoors and benefit from the staff’s significant expertise. NHS workers can also pick up a free sandwich and side from the Stock’d Up menu when they order and collect with their NHS ID.
Nico Fitzgerald, pastry chef at London Stock, said: “At London Stock, we want to do our bit to help the community rally together and come out the other side of this crisis even stronger. We’ve made our menu transport-friendly and even more affordable so Wandsworth can enjoy our food from the comfort of their living rooms…and if you work for the NHS, we’d like to feed you for free, to say thanks for all your hard work!”
London Stock’s home at Ram Quarter is set within the sensitively restored buildings of the former Young’s Brewery – a Wandsworth landmark. This new service will help to support the local community through these testing times.
