Last weekend, in the glorious sunshine, Ram Quarter hosted the second of its two planned events with market operator Urban Food Fest.
After celebrating the Coronation last month at Ram Quarter, a variety of vendors returned to Ram Quarter and offered food and craft items to residents and others in the local community. Products ranged from household items such as cat toys, plants and floral arrangements, healthcare products and candles, to food and desserts. Hungry shoppers could choose from Armenian Lebanese falafels, Berlin Doner kebabs, German Hot Dogs and burgers, and desserts too - ice cream, cakes, pastries and Italian cannoli.
Residents and locals enjoyed strolling in the sunshine through Ram Quarter's main Square surrounded by restored listed buildings, and along the peaceful riverwalk, and could also relax in the eclectic mix of vintage furniture, deckchairs and soft furnishings, which are a signature feature of the market.
Ram Quarter's bars and restaurants and other entertainments were all open as usual too. Visitors could pamper themselves in newly-opened beauty salon iLuvo, enjoy fun and games in southwest London's newest boutique bowling alley Strike or more adventurous games in Boom Battle Bar, sit in the sunshine with pizza and beer from Ram Quarter's award-winning on-site brewery Sambrook's, or enjoy Japanese food with a fusion twist from Ram Quarter's most recently opened restaurant - which launched earlier in the week - Sushi Moka.
Urban Food Fest has other events coming up in London this summer, and has a regular home at Shoreditch Market (162-167 Shoreditch High Street) which is open from midday to midnight every Saturday until October.
